Aaron Jedidiah (A.J.) Sun — older brother of the main character, Chris Sun
AJ excels at mostly everything he tries with apparent ease, from picking up new sports to trying different instruments to studying for only five minutes before tests. (Except for maybe drawing. He can draw. He just has to try. A lot.)
AJ plays basketball for Caltech for a year before deciding that he dislikes the environment and transfers to UCLA (no basketball there) where he continues studying his probably-some-fancy-science degree.
