Yeah I know it doesn't look like much now (hard to believe this is what I'm going to use to make mind slaves out of those named Steve
), but here's what I have so far. Tomorrow, when the clay drys I plan on painting it. So this pic may be scrapped later.The Millenium Rod is (c) By Kazuki Takahashi

>< Aaaah I'm about to try and make one to...I was going to use clay and a wooden dowel along with cardboard...yours makes me rethink my idea though. I was going to form the ball from clay and then put the eye on it, cut cardboard and then mold the clay around it for the wings. But I think it might be a little fragile then...problem is I dont have a saw table lol. Now your making me wish you did commissions >< oh well. It looks great by the way xD

Hey, I was wondering how you cut the wooden "wings". Did you use power tools, then just sand it?

I used my dad's table saw then I used his power sander.

Oh alright, and how did you attack all of the pieces together?

Wood glue, I also drilled a little notch in the sides of the knob so it would be a bit more sturdy when I glued it.

It's mostly made of wood I bought from a Home Depot. The detailing is all clay.

i might have a go at making one although im not asartistic/craftsy (if thats a word lol) as u so its quality would probably be miniscule in comparison to yours.

now, just put it on a solid colored background, and it's perfect.
like, dark green.

Dark Green Huh? I'll have to keep that in mind (after a photoshoot in St. Louis I had to repaint the thing and spray resealer all over it).
As for how much work it took... Have to say I've never really played in my dad's work shop before. And I get the feeling this project was only the first.
