Description
Designed by SoroSuub Corporation as a private venture to produce a Venator alternative to the countless independent worlds prior to the outbreak of the Clone Wars. Seeing limited use by a select number of influential independent systems during this conflict, this ship would fade to obscurity when the Empire was established, with the majority of the ships of this class being placed in mothball fleets and even a large number being scrapped to provide material for the Imperial Navy's growing fleet. Only until after the Rebel Alliance had grown following the destruction of the Death Star were many of these ships reactivated by their owners, only to be "stolen" in Rebel raids to their storeyards. Now in possession of the Rebel Alliance, the Liberator-class would make up a great part of the Alliance's naval fleet, fighting a war it was never meant for but was still very well suited towards thanks to its specialization towards carrier-ops.

Measuring in at 1300m long, the Liberator-class would feature 10 dual heavy turbolasers, 4 single heavy ion cannons, and 90 medium laser cannon turrets, these also made up the point defense system of the class due to their high turn speed and quick target acquisition speed.
