Description
This was irritating.. I usually start and finish my works in one sitting, but this one I worked on in 3 sessions, and every time I started, I wanted to scrap it, but just powered through. Only in the last few hours I started to get in to it.Mission Vao is from Star Wars - Knights of the Old Republic, a "scoundrel" young twi'lek, but I tried to imagine her a little older, less naΓve.. Maybe a freelance operative working for the republic, as it would suit her skills and former allegiances.
No idea if she has a canonical story post KoTOR

I miss KOTOR, and Mission. To think that a 14-year-old Twi'lek survived the mean planet of Taris and eventually joined a former Sith Lord in a quest to save the galaxy.

Doesn't hurt to have a fiercely loyal wookiee scout as your best friend, watching your back.

What was your character build? Mine was a female Scoundrel/Consular. That meant that I spammed enemies with Force Wave. I miss those moments.
I'll admit that another reason why I chose a female scoundrel was because she looked good in a leotard.

What wasn't my build? I played the game through like a dozen times. The most powerful, I found, was a scout-guardian, where you take only 4 levels on Taris, instead of the 8 that the experience points amount to, and save the rest up until you make Jedi. That way you gain a couple useful skills, and get the flurry and implants 1 and 2 feats for free, and with attributes favoring strength, you gain something insane like 5 attack rolls per round, which will almost always all hit at higher levels, and with flurry, buffs and gear/crystals, it can go up to 10 hits per round (which is quite satisfying as a light-sider, when the sith mouth off about their supreme power, and you put them down in a second like you were Yoda).
I only played a male character once, and I had the most fun with highly charismatic characters, regardless of the combat approach, but I did prefer to focus on either the force or on the sword, instead of making an average mix.

Obviously you're out of my league since I've only beaten the game once.
Is Scoundrel-Guardian with high strength and dexterity any good? Scoundrels do have added defense if my memory is correct. They also have Sneak Attack, which helped me on occasion. Correct me if I'm wrong.Β
Just thinking of KOTOR makes me want to draw my female scoundrel wearing her leotard.

It's quite powerful, since guardian gets Force Jump, which qualifies as a sneak attack when used as a first move. The only problem is, that you only gain sneak attack feats while you're a scoundrel, which is about 7 levels, so you gain 3 or 4 I think, unlike Mission, who will gain 9. Each level adds 1d6 damage to the initial attack, and to any attack made to an enemy who can't respond or is struck from behind.
If you go this route, you should also take some powers to incapacitate the enemies with stun or stasis, to gain more from the sneak attack. Another downside to this, is that it's difficult to utilize against tough enemies, like high level force users, because they tend to be resistant to stun effects and force powers. In early levels, supplement with demolitions skill and grenades, demolitions skill improves the effectiveness of grenades.
I also made a Revan fanart btw Β

Perhaps I should have Force Wave as well?

At least on one of the Jedi companions.. Maybe Revan too, but it's more important to get the buffs, Master Speed and Master Valor. It's a pain to keep casting them, but it can make all the difference in the world, at least on the highest difficulty.

Perhaps they'll help.
When I first beat Malak I spammed him with Saber Throw while running around. I couldn't touch him in combat at all.

Malak has a high defense, but you can tweak your stats so that you can ruin his shit, even without the buffs.. they just make it extra sweet, because you can thoroughly trounce him. Just make sure you loot all containers and search areas for shit, because you never know where you might find something like gauntlets or an implant that gives +3 to strength. In the endgame, you can boost a natural stat of 18 to over 30... in DnD terms, a strength of 30 would put you on par with gods.
To make the Malak battle a little easier (or at the least, shorter), take Destroy Droid or Drain Life, so you can either destroy or drain the capture jedi he has hanging on the walls, before he can recharge. That way, you don't have to beat him a dozen times.

I also drained the captured Jedi as well β made the fight easier.
