Dice shuffled her deck and started dealing cards on the folding table. Instead of her usual audience of people she'd trick and steal money from, she was entertaining a couple of Glowy Mushrooms and a Hollowed Sap. She started off by making a card levitate between her hands. The thing was, she isn't a mage of any sort. Despite the fact, she was quite the magician as the Glowy Mushrooms were entranced. The Hollowed Sap simply stared, unable to convey any emotions it was feeling because their face was a solid piece of wood, incapable of morphing into expressions, and they had no vocal box of any sort. They were purely hollow. Poor Saps. Must be hard to communicate to others.
Dice made the card spin around in the air a few times before setting back onto the table. She picked up a card, the King of Hearts, and held it up, showing it to the Glowing pair on the table, and then held it up to the Sap. She continued to hold it up, and in the blink of an eye it changed in her hand to a Three of Clubs. The Glowing buddies stood up and scurried around the table to try and figure out where the other card went. The Hollowed Sap slowly brought its head to a tilt as it leaned slightly forward, perhaps confused.

I had the idea pop in my head today during the time between classes, but my laptop wasn't cooperating with me, so I let it stew for a while until I could get home. I figured some of the more passive creatures would take some enjoyment from Dice's little tricks. The mushrooms would probably refuse to let her leave until she taught them how to do the trick. But after teaching it, how would they share this information? Do the little fun-guys have tiny decks of cards? Are they capable of making papyrus and ink? These are the important questions.
