I actually couldn't decide what chapter to assign him to, so I added a stylized skull of my own design, I guess it could be said that he belongs to some obscure chapter that was likely wiped out early on, perhaps during the event depicted.

Absolutely! In fact, the reason I chose to invest my time and money in warhammer as opposed to other table top wargames is the room for creativity and personalization that the whole thing allows! From interpretation of the lore, to fan created stories and characters, to converted miniatures, it really is a hobby that makes it easy for us to dive in deep however we want!
