Been workin offline lately since my interwebs doesn't want to work on me QwQ So I'm going to schedule these art pieces now xD I doodled this picture of Davis, since it's been a super long time since I've drawn him and... turned out much different than I had wanted it to be in the beginning.I guess my concept was ... how people label themselves. Davis is heavily into fashion and makeup, lace and bows, but since he's a male, he's been pressuring himself into this internal corner. I don't know if Davis is actually gay or not, but since nobody else knows this side of him, I feel like he's been telling himself that he is? I'm not sure. We will have to see how things turn out.

He's still in the process of figuring himself out. I also thought he might be gender fluid and I had drawn a picture of him in a dress to see but idk if its.. What he wants. We shall see.

Wow. Can I just say you draw noses really well now XD I am thoroughly impressed. You will have to show me sometime because it's one aspect I really struggle at.
That aside, I really like the emotion you capture in this. It has some aspects of the old drawing you did of him, but it's much deeper obvs. I like the updated hair too~ Very edgy. I like how you did the lipstick, it stands out without overtaking the face. Really nice balance. A really nice little piece overall. ^^

I'm glad you like my noses! I've kinda started moving into something else with my art idek. I'm like not anime but not realistic haha. I think that's good though? Trying to gain my own style. I'll show you how I do noses ! A friend of mine showed me a little trick that helps me with art. Once I get my mic and send you a video of me arting you will see <3
I've been really pushing hard to get more emotion into my art these days. Emotion and expression are something that I struggle with in my art, thus why I did the 25 expression meme for Nine a while back! Must improve at expressions!
I made Davis' hair more cool for sure hehe. More modern male. It was honestly what I wanted when I first created Davis. Like this was the hairstyle I had in mind, but my artistic abilities weren't up to par enough to do so >3> !! So yeah. But now I'm improved so that's good!

Thank you! Ive been workingn on updating Davis these days, since i really dod enjoy his concept, but could never quite get him right. Also i totally attempted to draw his female side, but it turned out very.. Not what I wanted. Im sire ill take another stab at it in the near future though, so keep your eyes peeled ~

Hmm kind of a dilemma. On one hand there's already an aching stereotype that gay men are always into fashion and makeup and are never into typical masculine hobbies. And that heterosexual (or any man not attracted to women) can't possibly be into feminine or non-masculine passions.
At the same time, if he were attracted to other men and his passions were just coincidental it still makes for a good story and interesting personality. No matter what choice you go with I'm sure the results will be great though.

It is a dilemma for sure. In this particular picture, it's suppose to represent something like that. Davis (The character here), isn't gay, but he has a major interest in dressing up in dresses and a facination with makeup. And even though he isn't into men, society's pressure of stereotypes regarding men like him makes him feel like he is, and he ends up labelling himself as Queer and gay by the time he's an adult because of this. So this picture was to represent that I suppose?? How the pressure of gender roles makes some people push themselves into a box.

No no you're fine; it's not a ramble at all, it makes total sense! And I applaud you for bringing that message out into the open because when discussing it, most people tip-toe around that particular topic which gets troublesome.
