Trust me, I thought a lot about this game (after seeing a playthrough), and I got some great ideas for a Time Gal style TV series.
Premise: In the year 3016, Dr. Arnold Clayton has invented the world's first time machine. He has done this for curiosity of both the past and the future, although investors have backed him due to the potential ability to forsee potential natural disasters and stop them before they begin. Unfortunately, the technology is stolen by Luda who wants to rule the world by assassinating the ancestors of world leaders (to be fair, Luda genuinely thinks he would make a better leader than the planetary Senate). After making a spare time machine, Dr. Clayton goes back in time to stop Luda. Although he is a genius (not to mention a huge history nerd), Dr. Clayton is not very athletic and not fit enough to survive in some of the more demanding time periods he follows Luda to. This is why his 16 year old daughter Rachel joins him for this quest (this is Reika in the original Time Gal, this is an American remake after all). Rachel is playful, and athletic (she is a member of her high school's track and cross country teams) but generally knows when to be serious. I want her to be fully clothed (and by that I mean a shirt, shorts, and sneakers) but still keep the purple and red color scheme of her clothing while continuing to have green hair (which would only come to her shoulders). I am hoping this show will be able to bounce between action, comedy, and drama in the vein that Avatar: The Last Airbender or Teen Titans did.
The Gear: There are three devices Dr. Clayton and her daughter Rachel would use. First, if you have seen Totally Spies! in your childhood (I did, I am not sure whether I like it), you would know that those girls had what looked like makeup kits (from what I remember) to change their clothes. I am sure these two would have a similar device to blend in with whatever society they come across better. Second are their guns, which can be loaded with regular bullets or lasers depending on the time period. They can also be disguised as swords or caveman clubs. Finally, we have the speed enhancers. These are basically the spiritual successors of the Time Stop function in Time Gal. It makes Dr. Clayton or Rachel move so fast that it appears that everything else is in slow motion. However, due to the newness of the technolgy, it can only be used for 10-15 seconds and afterwards needs 24 hours to recharge (perhaps it would be a once per episode thing).
Faithfulness to the source material: The game Time Gal seems pretty episodic, which is why I went the TV show route rather than the movie route. Thus, the episodes could explore the same time periods as the original game. The code word for making the speed enhancers work is "time slow down" instead of "time stop". It could also explore the history of the future (ie since 2014 or 1992) like the game did.
I hope you like these ideas. Perhaps you can expand on the ideas I came up with.
As for what I think of the game itself, I think that Laserdisc games in general were parlor tricks. Sure the animation was pretty good, but there was not much gameplay, seriously, you could play this with a DVD remote, and that is not good. This is a game I do not like, but it is not without its charms. That is why I made this whole TV show pitch, I see storytelling potential in this game.

I'd watch that, I'd watch the he'll out of that. But I have a few suggestions to make it different enough from the source material that it can be it's own thing while still being faithful to the original. For starters, we should add a secondary villain, similar to azula from last air bender, or boba fett. But serves a similar role to rene belloq from Raiders in the sense that he manipulates the locals of what ever time period he's in.his name is fives as a reference to the last number of 1985, the year time gal debute . His back story is also kind of messed up. He was one of Rachels best friends and even had a crush on her, the problem was he was a special needs student. He was very smart. But was different enough to be labeled special needs. It also didn't help that he was picked on because his left arm was an amputee, and was followed by a robot that was made to protect him, kind of like c3po, as fives would confess his feelings for Rachael, her friends make fun of her saying things like "are you seriously friends with him"? Rachael would pretend she doesn't know him in an effort to save face. This of course hurt fives and even pulled a lighter to burn the rose he got for her. Later Rachel felt bad and tried to apologize to him. But she didn't know where he was. She went to his house to see if he was there but to no avail. To her complete surprise, she finds him working for the bad guy using a pirated version of her father's technology, and as much as she tries to convince fives as well as her self that fives isn't a bad guy. Fives only has the intent to kill her. Rachael has to fight and maybe even kill her best friend.

I think that swapping panties for shorts or hotpants would be OK, but too many changes, and she wouldn't be Reika.

I am a fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Β I would want this to be an animated series that would appeal to both kids and adults (although it would have merchandise that would appeal to children).

In there she gets,squashed,beaten,her clothes get torn,she gets whipped,she gets sliced up,she gets butthurt,she gets electrocuted, she gets burned, she gets blown up without getting gibbed, she gets eaten by dinosaurs, she falls down deep holes, and she gets f*cked by cavemen.
My God, after all that punishment, her bones must be broken, she has bruises and wounds all over her body, her organs are damaged. and worst of all, her hospital bill is going to be through the roof!
