One of the PSD file which I lost is this one.
So yeah... I have to repaint it... OTL
Anyway, the concept of this one is:
=DemonicEssence told me that The Forbidden is a vampire, he's like... the misunderstood good guy; and he's actually kinda nice, but short tempered though!
So I thought, I definitely don't want to draw him "villain-y" so I choose a rather normal expression and not some "devilish smirk" kind of expression or some "psychotic" kind of expression.
And he's short tempered, so there's no way I draw him smiling
A horned-guy with red eyes and tats under his eyes is already very... somewhat grim and devilish, so I choose to make the picture to look like an ordinary close-up photograph (remove the horns and tats then change the eye-colors and poof! you'll get a normal kind of head-shot), but being too normal, isn't good either! Since The Forbidden is not your average-Joe after all!
So I add the blood effect, so it'll look (I hope) like a regular photograph of a good looking horned guy which got stained by blood
That's too back-up the fact that The Forbidden is a vampire, he deals a lot with blood.
Besides that, I also know from the beginning that I will add a touch of blood in this picture.
Why?
Because I know =DemonicEssence loves blood
And Soul is happy when her commissioner is happy too! ^^

About the drawing of course, but there is an ''&'' too - I am drawing something looking exactly the same, ok, the concept. xD
Brown hair, horns, and the thingies drawn around the eyes. x.x And I have never seen =DemonicEssence `s character ever before. xD
Feels so weird..
Though I was doing a little bit more abstract and simpler version, I now feel like mine is going to be like a stolen idea. o.o
But I adore your smooth coloring and how you manage to draw everything proportionally and very beautifully. ^^ Really pretty. :]

Eh? Err... I don't really understand
Is it something like, you have this character that:
- Has brown hair
- Has horns
- Has tattoos around his eyes
too?
And now you feel like your OC is like unoriginal idea?
If that's the case, you don't have to feel that way I suppose.
Except off course if your character is also a vampire who's also is a good guy among evil entities and has short tempered but good in nature...
It's not just the appearance that counts, but the story and personality and/or concept behind it
This one's concept is actually an ordinary and very normal close-up photograph of The Forbidden which got stained by blood.
I bet yours is not like that eh?

Of course it is more in the personality al everything like that - how the character is presented. :]
But this is such a coincidence that you draw something like this exactly when I`m sketching up something looking exactly like him, like.. idk, it is so odd.

I have to say I love the background story here, i love to know what the artist is thinking when drawing my characters, their ideas around the piece. The comments are so very interesting to me, you listened to what I said, (some people dont XD) I love that he is just a normal guy without his horns or markings, and he dosen't want the life he has
I also like the reson you added blood (as demonicessence loved blood) XD XD XD XD

I'm happy you like it! That's very important for me; and yeah, I always try to listen to what my commissioners say and try to deliver what they like the most.
Like, instead of giving The Forbidden more manga-ish look, I go for more realistic look, since you got that drawing of The Forbidden ref-ed from a photo.
