I wasn't satisfied with the state of most of my character bios, and many of them are being constantly worked on and updated as I continue to flesh them out. For that reason, I'm taking them all down. Once they are finished and I am more satisfied with their condition and coherency, I will repost them all. This process will probably take several months, maybe even years, given how my creativity comes and goes, but I hope to get them back up eventually and do a much better job.

Inspiration:

Gosh, she's finally finished. THAT took a while. O_o First, the appearance. The main idea for this dress was inspired by Rarity's Dress by Blueaugen, as well as Rarity's gala dress, and Lightning's "Midnight Mauve" outfit from Final Fantasy XIII-3. It went through LOTS of changes, and several complete revisions, but we're finally satisfied. As for her backstory, I decided to play up the more elegant, ladylike side of her personality. I wondered "what would Rarity's life look like if she really did achieve her ambitions to become one of the most important ponies around?" It sort of just took off from there. In my head, the nobility is similar to how it is portrayed in Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn novels. Just an interesting tidbit, might help you to really understand her character more if you've read those books.

You have no idea how time consuming this one was! But also so proud of how it came out. I used pencils , soft pastels, promarkers (shades: 'Burgundy'...and I think it was 'blush'), black fineliner and a bit of white acrylic paint for the light reflection.
