And I know more than the average person knows about deities, I guess. > u <;; It's one of my favorite topics! A lot of their stories influence my art in some way. c: The Secrets of the Immortal: Nicholas Flamel book series has a big influence on how immortals would think and behave in the modern era, and you begin to sympathize with the gods and how they've lived for many centuries. Ahhh, I should stop rambling. Dx

The thing is the more I work with the Noragami Group the more I get interested in Japanese deities aswell ~
Though at the current Point I dont know anything about them xD
Maybe I should try out the Book series you mentioned.

I'm so glad that you're really getting into Japanese deities!!! They are insanely interesting!!! OMG. JAPANESE MYTHOLOGY IS MY MOST FAVORITE SUBJECT NEXT TO STUDYING ABOUT DEITIES (LOL maybe it's because I'm Asian and I'm Buddhist). PLEASE CONSIDER LOOKING INTO THAT AS WELL~ There's such a rich variety of gods, demons, and other creatures in Japan that really stand out from the rest. Also, just the folklore of heroes and other figures from Japan are enough to take over my interests for weeks. You can't just learn these things in one sitting. It will take you a while to learn about Japanese folklore, mythology, and the deities that they love so much, but I believe it is worth the time and effort. Really consider the histories of the deities, mythical creatures, etc to have a better understanding. It's good to have a nice foundation to build on for your group, and you don't have to rely entirely off of the anime. 

I really think the Secrets of the Immortal book series will help you develop the mentality of someone who has lived for many years. Sure, it's fun to be an immortal, but think about the events they went through and how their feelings have either changed or stayed the same over time. This is what you should think about when playing a kami or a shinki, or any kind of immortal. Ahhh, there's so much to say about this topic. I must stop. Or I have to buy the english ones! gonna search for them as soon as i can buy them ;A;

to be honest it didnt really interest me all those years since I'm a Anime Fan etc..
I only know the few details they mention in various animes.
But since Noragami and since opening the group i really get into it more and more.
so ill probably gonna read more about them!

*That there should not be two of the same gods. Like there should not be two Amaterasu's in the group. I also think it's better if people base their kami OC's off of actual gods and deities.
