Unless they for some reason won't have it. Which would be weird, since they made it a tradition by now and extending the effective airtime of the season is kind of desirable with it being the last.

I guess I chose the wrong time to join the fandom... (I joined at the very beginning of this year) So I've been really sad...
So I guess I didn't "survive" them... More like cheated them... Either way I got a bucket ready for my tears this Saturday!!!

Eh, we'll be here for the foreseeable future, because we still love them ponies whether new episodes come out or not. Plus, ponies will continue in some way and form, and might even continue the G4 story. And that's just the 'canon', too - the characters, the world and our fanworks are here forever with and for us.

I'm not sure you can say there's a "wrong time" to join the fandom. If nothing else, your late arrival just proves that people will be discovering pony—and re-energizing the fandom—for years to come.
