Description
This is my first serious colored pencil attempt and I am very happy with it. It was started at the end of my senior year of high school and wasn't finished until the end of that summer. I will be going to college in a few days, so colored pencil might be my new traditional medium of choice. I like the way it looks and I especially like the easy setup/cleanup (as opposed to oils and many other mediums).Related content

critique (imho): all in all the feathers have a resemblance to tousled fur. esp. true for the rear of head.

Excellent work, especially seeing as this is your first attempt! I am jealous! The detail is really amazing! Will you be doing art at college?

I may try to get a few art classes in, but the plan right now is to go into chemical engineering. We'll see how that goes, haha. Thanks for the comment!
