ABOUT ARCYNIC CANIS
For those of you who are interested
These dangerous predators appear to be a mix between a wolf and a reptile. Their bodies are covered in a mixture of scales and fur, however they are mammals. Arcynic Canis live in small to medium sized packs. Thereβs always one dominant male and female. The dominant Arcynic Canis have darker scales such as black or grey while the other members of the pack have light colored scales. Only the dominate male and female may mate. Females can have up to two offspring. When born body patterns, such as stripes, are faded and then become more pronounced within age. Arcynic Canis can grow to the size of an average horse and their tails can become almost twice the size of their body. Their saliva is infested with deadly bacteria causing their bite to be toxic. They use this to their advantage when bringing down prey. After being bitten it can take anywhere from a few hours to a day before death depending on size. Their mouths can open wide enough to swallow most of their prey whole and they use their strong jaws to rip apart food that is too large.

Personality: He's very playful, and loves to chase butterflies, even though he never actually catches them. He wants to become pack leader one day, and believes that his darker color gives him a good shot. He fancies nearly every girl who saunters by, and will try his best to catch their eye, at least until pack leader puts him back in his place. Regardless of these constant rejections by both females and the Alpha, he always gets right back on his feet, bringing rabbits to the girls and having his face nipped for his troubles. ^^

Name: Ignotus
Age: Adult
Gender: Female
Personality: Ignotus means 'unknown' and this describes her quite well. She is solitary and does not enjoy engaging with others, preferring to stay hidden and watch socialization happen from a distance, with her uninvolved. Hence the pale scales on her neck announcing low social status. She often has to end up hunting for herself rather than sharing pack hunts as she is on the fringes.

(Just wondering, how exactly does this work? I've never applied for an adoptable before. For example if you get the Acrynic Canis you apply for can you use it as an OC and do art of it?)

Ah and yeah there are many different ways people do adoptables~ These specifically you just fill out the application and draw at least one image of the one you are applying for. Then on Sep. 12th Iβll be looking through and choosing owners for each one. If you become an βownerβ then the design/character is yours to keep! So you can make them an OC and draw them, make a story, create a comic, whatever youβd like!

Name: Spore
Age: Borderline adult
Gender: Male
Personality: Spore is an outsider. Unlike most Arcynic Canis, he personally prefers to be by his lonesome. Not very social, but kind and guarded when approached. He prefers to spend his time in forests and vegetation, preferably around deep carpets of moss. He is calm but gets easily anxious when meeting new creatures. He hides his anxiety well, but it is still noticeable. He has good common sense/judgment skills, but when he is rubbed the wrong way (life of any kind is threatened in his or something gets on his nerves) he is quick to show it with barred teeth and baritone snarls. He doesn't like to fight, but knows how to and isn't afraid to in the slightest. He uses his agility, environment and claws when in a corner. Spore can be playful and witty(occasionally). He learns quickly and is quite intelligent, but prefers to stay out of things.
His dark color is often a blessing and a curse: he is usually judged as an unlikeable beast with bad hygiene from a distance. Humans that have caught glimpses of him (if they live in the same world?) often run away terrified, mumbling things like "Bog Beast." Yet his color keeps him well camouflaged.
His scent is seasonal and also dependent on the weather. In spring, he smells the best (tangy new flowers). Oh rainy, humid days he smells of marsh muck. On a (normal) sunny, warm day he has the scent of fresh grass.
The tip of Spore's tongue and teeth are stained purple from the many berries he has eaten. The end of his tail is prone to turn black with fungus from his damp environment (mushrooms and fungus are also known to grow on his pelt in embarrassing areas - he does a good job at keeping this a well guarded secret, but they still manage to crop up here and there).
The bright markings on his sides/eyes often grow brighter/dimmer with variables like mood, time of day, weather and sunshine.
I could go on about why he is a loner, but I fear I have already typed too much.
