Developed late in the reign of the Galactic Empire, the AT-SG was created out of a need for shield generators for Imperial facilities in areas where the increasingly resource-strapped Empire could not provide permanent structures. Combining spare shield generators from the Fondor Shipyards with the bodies of damaged AT-AT's, the AT-SG was born.assigned to outer rim bases where energy supplies could not be reliably sustained, the AT-SG retained the AT-AT's impressive weapons array but sacrificed the heavily armored body to be replaced by the shield array and a power generator.

That's awesome
I actually had an idea similar to that, but with a First Order star destroyer:
A single ship with a massive barrier equal to that of a planetary shield, only ships that use a specialized shield frequency can pass through it freely, while all others end up hitting a literal wallΒ
This ship could hold position in a blockadeΒ
Only way to beat it is to insert a team into the ship, sabotage it and let the outside forces finish off the fleet inside the barrier

To be honest I always thought something like this would be a far more practical use of such a top heavy warmachine then how it's actually used as a Heavy Troop Transport.Β
