Description
in an effort to get back into something of a swing, I felt like putting this together from bits and bobs i already had assembled.Keller and Premo are in fact early auto manufacturers which were headquartered in Birmingham Alabama, and thus would make suitable Confederate manufacturers.
Note: the "Hound Dog's" Manufacturer has been changed, as i've been informed that Curtiss made planes for the US in the books.

Kinda figured the confederates would have used converted gun trucks in place of half-tracks in SGW, similar to what the US did OTL in Vietnam.

do appreciate how both North American powers' flags/heraldry morphed from OTL's 1775-1862 baseline via successive generations of revanchism (and yet remained so very recognizable)
also TTL Birmingham is gonna be nigh-unrecognizable, basically a manufacturing center of gravity laced with commuter rail; my most intriguing ideas for any CSA is that they'll have to take the road that the Brazilian Old Republic did and practically bribe Italians etc. to settle and lighten the country's complexion, Catholicism hooking up with the old planter Episcopalianism and always in tension with back-country revivalism and Anabaptism

Actually, the CSA is remarkably anti-immigrant (at least in the earlier books) they often disparage the USA for "Cultural degredation" as they're welcoming so many foreigners (particularly Germans, obviously) and they have no need for a large immigrant workforce as they have the blacks as effectively a Labor class to do the manual work.
This changes with Featherston's anti-black, pro-Mexican policies. A character even comments how Mexicans are starting to show up in a lot of the roles Blacks used to do.
Culture-wise, I see a lot of them sucking up to France more than Italy.

yeah, the planter elite was highly Francophile (and Anglophile) even before the war; Germans, Irish, and Italians will be seen as the "wrong" sort of European as 1840s-50s US (both TLs); wonder how in turn British culture will be reworked with a uniformly hostile US (and they did almost come to blows over Essequiba/Guyana 1898, spurring Anglo-Saxonism as a response)

While weβre on the subject of alternative history have you ever heard of Muv Luv before if not thereβs a wiki that should helpΒ
muvluv.fandom.com/wiki/Muv-Luvβ¦
anyway the reason why I brought this up was that in this universe there are mechs called tactical surface fighters or TSF which are essentially the alternate to fighter jets and I would love to see how you would try and design your own or even just copy the canon ones.
if you donβt want to Iβm okay with it just thought that the TSFs deserves some love is all.
and the fact they are my favourite mecha of all time.

I really don't see what mechs have to do with a picture that's obviously in a WWII setting, but okay XD

Well the mechs themselves are in an alternate universe setting that the WW2 setting was in and I thought it might interest you if not the mechs then the setting where you can find them in.

Ooh, this is cool! I read the series a decade ago, and got hit hard in the nostalgia right here.

M1 Garand is a better choice in terms of reload speed, rate of fire and ammo capacity. The Springfield, that's better as a sniper rifle.Β

the Garand was never invented in this timeline. The US government slashed military spending after the first Great War, and a series of governments unsympathetic to the Military basically stonewalled any major new developments.
as a result, when the war broke out the CSA had the upper hand in technology, especially with their new Automatic Infantry rifle, the Tredager (think an M14 version of the Enfield SMLE)
