Description a Cantopean Recon aircraft was lucky to escape intact after a near miss while trying to Photograpgh the Napajanese Carrier Solomon and it's escorts, the heavy Cruiser Zeus and the two Destroyers of the Z-class, Z-44 and Z-45. as the Pilot snapped the photo, the Sun suddenly broke through the clouds, momentarily blinding him. the Picture was blurred by light shining from the vessels, and the Pilot nearly lost control of his aircraft.

Unfortunate. It must have been one of the F-8s deployed from the Insuperable, if it's naval at least. Proper recon aircraft ought to have more than one crewmember, especially naval ones. The only other thing I could think of would be one of the indigenous Vanquisher interceptors, but those are landbased and as I'm sure the Napajapanese task force was respecting the internationally accepted 200 mile territorial sea limit, I wouldn't likely envision interceptors being deployed that far out without reason.

Incidentally, I find the destroyer designs intriguing. I can make out the basics, and I do like the superstructure.

Near miss? Could you specify on that?

the pilot, focused on the Photograph, was blinded by sunlight. instinctivley reaching for his eyes, he let go of the stick, and his aircraft almost went into a dive.
