Smudge tool practice.Seriously, this tool is so useful to add details, even to get rid of the lip outlines that I feel are so unnecesary

I think the problem here is that the smudge tool made her fur look like from one of those old fur blankets, with those small tuffs of fur sticking on it. Maybe if you tried different brushes or sizes?
But for cleaning up or hiding little imperfections, the smudge and blur tools are excelent.

It looks good so far. Are you using Gimp or Photoshop? Cause I know I use Adobe Photoshop CS6, and there's a great tool for smug effects and it looks good

Just look for a .VTF plug-in for Photoshop , Paint.NET or whatever you use....
Im pretty sure you can figure out the rest by yourself.
