This is my second time ever making a mane with a fur brush, it's a complete and absolute mess, but I had fun ;-;UΒ

Getting a good looking drawn mane is a bitch to do, but it is indeed fun. You should try drawing it from zero on a render with the model mane/tail alphaed out (or translucent which removes the shadows too but is vmt only) using the model ones as a reference for shape and shading. The brushes you used in this works fine for that, I see they're the same I have, but they might not be enough. I don't really remember if I used any others.
It is harder overall, but the results are totally worth itΒ Β

It's a different technique from most, but I like it.

It needs to have more layers, and more colour tones of mane with brush. So it becomes more realistic.
