PreGroup History: Dragon was the result of an unplanned breeding between two pure bred dogs. His mother Angel was a beautiful golden-colored GSD training to work in the police force. She'd often sneak out of her kennel for nights on the town and one time ran into a very handsome leonberger named Duke. The two hit it off immediately, a classic love-at-first-sight story. When the police force realized Angel was pregnant, they weren't too happy. They'd have to postpone her training, wasting valuable time and money. One day an officer saw her sneak out and followed her to the leonberger's home. It was fairly obvious the two dogs were smitten with each other, and so the officer offered to sell the pregnant female to them. The family happily accepted and were thrilled when seven beautiful, fluffy monsters were born. Though they would have loved to keep all the babies, just the idea of cost was staggering. So they put the puppies up for adoption once they were weaned.

Dragon has many fond memories of wrestling with his siblings and getting pointers from his mother while his father taught him the finer things in life, such as naps and digging holes. He was eager to find his new family and protect them as well as his parents had taught him. His day finally came when a single mother and her young daughter happened upon the puppies for adoption in the paper. The little girl immediately grabbed Dragon and refused to let him go until her mother gave in. The small family lived in a one bedroom apartment in the city until they were forced to move when the mother could no longer afford rent after losing her job. Dragon remembers a very long car ride (that he only threw up on twice, thank you very much) before they reached their new home in the town of Canidale. The three moved back in with the woman's parents, promising it was just until she could get back on her feet. Everyone is satisfied with the arrangement except the resident saluki...(TBC)
