+Riley can be quite the brat when the mood strikes her. It’s easy to rub her the wrong way as she hardly takes anything anyone says at face value. She sees criticism and mockery everywhere. Once she’s upset it takes a while to calm her back down and make her see reason.

+If she doesn’t get what she wants she becomes pouty and sulky. She's tried to break herself of this habit, seeing it as weak, but old habits do in fact die hard. However she has learned to read other's emotions fairly well and tinker with them a bit to fit her needs. She doesn't always have the patience to work a dog over this way, but she's good when she wants to be.

She looks down on dogs she views as weak. Her years living as a stray and then coming to the junkyard have hardened her and made her bitter. Thankfully her fur is long enough to conceal most of the myriad scars around her body from all her 'lessons'. She will openly call out a dog who is behaving weakly with intense vehemence. But instead of leaving these dogs to their fates, she takes it upon herself to offer them some minor protection and teach them how to survive. She refuses to acknowledge this as kindness on her part and sees it more as lessening the burden on herself.

+Riley finds it very hard, if not entirely impossible, to trust others. She always think there's another side to every gesture and everyone is playing an angle. However she is very loyal to those dogs she considers worthy. Though this doesn't necessarily mean she trusts them. Her loyalties can be swayed with relative ease if the outcome some how benefits her. If every other dog wants to play an angle, she will too.

+Riley prefers to stay relatively clean and spends a small portion of her day grooming and trying to stay out of general filth. She acts scandalized if her fellow junk yard clan members neglect their own hygiene and so prefers to stay away from certain dogs. Riley can't handle even constructive criticism on anything and will turn violent if she suspects someone of picking on her.

+She is incredibly driven and motivated. She wants a better life and is determined to get it, any way she has to. She plans to move up the ranks as fast as she can and reap all the benefits that come along with higher ranks.

+Riley isn't a dog who quickly forgets those who've helped her. She remembers and caches away any good deeds done for her and will find a way to repay the dog. She always repays her debts as quickly as possible. She doesn't enjoy owning anyone anything.

+Anything/one Riley considers 'hers' is off limits to other dogs. She will defend her property and dogs she has positive relationships viciously. This can also translate to her becoming very jealous and peeved if one of her 'friends' spends more time with other dogs. She'll usually find a way to tuck them back into her nest where she can keep an eye on them.

+Riley has...a twisted sense of humor. She sees her life as the punchline of the biggest joke and is (understandably) very bitter. She pendulums between being able to have a good laugh and goof around to becoming completely intolerable, with little middle ground or warning. There are few dogs who can get away with poking fun at her and not wind up bleeding.

+She doesn't have much of a filter and will usually just say what she means. She's not usually one to beat around the bush or draw something out. She'll tell you what she thinks and if you have a problem with it, well, sucks to suck. Riley knows she is an attractive dog and will use this to her advantage in order to manipulate and mess with others, this is partially why she keeps her appearance neat (but really it's mostly because she's vain).

+Riley has a strong sense of justice/fairness/right and wrong, but can't hold herself to these standards.

DESPITE ALL OF THIS...she isn't the worst dog around. She craves genuine affection and kindness more than anything else. If she lets her guard down she becomes a much easier dog to get along with. She actually really loves cuddling and playing and grooming with other dogs but doesn't let on for fear of being seen as weak. Not used to being liked, she can become pretty flustered when shown kindness or priority by another dog.

**Above all else though, Riley is lost. She loved her mother more than anything in the world and wanted nothing else except to make her happy. Now she's grown into a dog that her mother wouldn't like and, frankly, Riley doesn't like herself much either. She wants to be a better dog, one that would make her mother proud and smile, but she's gotten in too deep to easily pull herself out.**

Pre-Group History: Riley's mother, Roxanne, was a young and naive stray. She'd lived on the streets her whole life, despite her meek and submissive nature. One day she happened to cross paths with a very handsome, and much older, male Australian shepherd named Azazel who lived with a very wealthy human family.

Her mother was doomed from the moment she laid eyes on him.
Absolutely star struck by his masculine, dominant personality, Roxanne did everything she could to catch the male's eyes. For weeks she'd purposely wander into Pet faction territory to see him and try to coax him into conversation. In the beginning Azazel was disgusted by her pathetic attempts at friendship and would loudly and publicly shame her...but Roxanne didn't care, she believed she'd found the love of her life and was blind to his cruelty. Unknown to her Azazel and his friends decided to make Roxanne the target of a cruel 'prank'. Azazel's feelings seemed to suddenly change for her one day when, instead of throwing insults at her and being aggressive, he began to court her with every sly trick he knew. Roxanne had never been happier and quickly fell into bliss. This culminated when, after she became pregnant with his pups, Azazel very publicly destroyed her fantasy with the truth and chased her from the Pet faction territory.

Heart broken, Roxanne returned to the streets, very pregnant and barely out of pup-hood herself. She was able to deliver three healthy pups but unfortunately the fourth pup, a female, had been stillborn. Roxanne raised Riley and her two brothers with all the love she could give. She never once looked upon them with anything but kindness. Life was extremely hard on the streets for such a young mother with three hungry puppies. She did everything she could to make them happy and healthy.

Roxanne tried once to show Azazel their puppies. He denied having ever known her and scoffed at the idea that he would ever stoop so low as to seek her company. He even went as far as to physically harass Riley and her siblings. It wasn't long after this that Roxanne was killed while trying to find food for her small family. Alone in the world the three siblings tried to stay together. But eventually they went their separate ways and Riley was by herself. Disconsolate and already bitter toward the world she some how found her way to the old junkyard.

There she slowly and painfully learned how to steal, fight, and lie to survive.
