This a role play between (me) and for Characters featured are Rikki and Rabbit.

Rabbit smiled as she watched the black bird she was chasing fly into the sky. Glancing around she thought 'how long was I running?' Suddenly she realized she didn't recognize anything. "Uh oh..." turning in circles she begin to panic. Everything was wrong, the terrain had changed and the sun was hidden in the clouds. "I can't be lost! No! Where am I?" thoroughly panicked now she was freaking out.

Rikki lay in the shade of a large tree, on the verge of dozing off. His content moment was ruined when he heard shouting nearby. With a growl his lumbered to his feet and sniffed the air. With another growl he stalked after the scent of an unfamiliar wolf. Though he had no pack and so technically did not have a 'territory' he still disliked other wolves in his space. Plowing through the brush he saw a tall brown female in a state of distress. He snorted in annoyance and called, "Hey. I don't know what you're doing but I want you to leave." His posture was dominant as he held his head and tail high, a glint of teeth flashing occasionally.

Rabbit yelped at the deep loud voice. Falling over when she saw the large male wolf who had spoken "Umm... truly sorry sir, but where am I?" she asked shyly. She locked her gaze on the ground at his feet and kept her body low, hoping for the best.

Oh boy... Rikki sighed and lowered his tail. "Look kid, are you lost or something?" he asked, already exasperated by this meeting. He stepped closer to her, till ready to go on the offensive if she showed any signs of aggression. Stretching his neck he sniffed at her face and immediately drew back in irritation. "You from Blutwald?" he asked.

Rabbit shrunk away as the aggressive male stepped closer. "Y-eah. Why? Do you know the way back? I was chasing a sparrow..." She shuffled her paws slightly, unsure of how this male was acting.

Rikki pulled in a deep breath of air, swelling his whole chest...and let it out in a weary sigh. "Yeah, we're not too far away." he replied slowly. He looked down at her with curious yellow eyes. "You followed a sparrow this far away from your pack?" he asked, incredulous.

Rabbit stuttered slightly "Well first there was the sparrow, and then I saw a hummingbird, then when I lost that there was a red winged black bird....And even as I say that I see how stupid it is..." she crincled up her nose in embarrassment.

Rikki let out a harsh bark of laughter. "Wow. I don't think I've ever heard than one before." he said, more jovial now. This wolf was clearly no threat and only wanted to be back in the safety of her pack. With a sigh he pawed at her and said, "Ok kid, I'll lead you back to your pack's territory." After a moment of though he snorted and added "If one of your 'mates attacks me though, you're fair game too."

Rabbit perked up slightly when he laughed. "Nobody will attack you since they'll see me. Usually anything dangerous sends me running. And I'm an adult and probably as tall as you." She poured slightly, miphed at being called a kid."I just don't get out much yet."

"Pfft. Whatever kid. Enough blabbering, lets get going. I don't wanna be walking all night." he yawned and turned into the direction she had come from, starting at a leisurely walk.

Rabbit followed the blunt male, crouching, as she normally walks. "My name is Rabbit by the way. Thank you." She smiled brightly at him.

Rikki threw her a sidelong glance. "Really?" he asked, trying to keep his tone polite. "Well my name is Rikki." Conversation had never been his strong suit and he found himself awkwardly nipping at twigs to think of what to say.

Seeing how awkward Rikki was feeling Rabbit smiled. "I could never live alone. I like talking to others too much. Do you ever talk to yourself? Like out of boredom or something." She trotted in circles around him as she talked.

Rikki grunted at Rabbit's question. "Do I look crazy to you or something?" he grumbled in response. She's not totally wrong... he thought grumpily. With a relenting sigh he continued, "There are other loners that live around these areas. Sometimes I talk to them, if we don't have a problem with each other." His ears flicked back as he tried to watch her circle him the first few times, finally deciding even if she did decide to attack from behind it still wouldn't be much of an issue. "Why Blutwald though? Those wolves are all crazy." he asked with a snort.

Rabbit smiled and leaped easily over a log. "What kind of issues if you don't mind me asking? Crazy? Maybe we are all a bit crazy. And it is better than Haviar. In Blutwald everyone has a purpose." She stopped for a second, perching on a low branch she had jumped up to. Carefuly she sniffed the air to check for strange scents. Smelling nothing she jumped back down beside Rikki and smiled.

Rikki was quickly becoming exhausted with Rabbit's up-beat personality and her seeming inability to just walk in a straight line. "Yeah, and everyone's purpose in Blutwald is to be crazier and more aggressive than everyone else." he grumbled in reply. "Whatever. I've heard stuff and I've seen some of, living so close by." he dismissed the whole thing. His nose twitched, as it finally began to pick up some scents from the Bluwald territory. Hopefully they'd be there soon.

Sensing that Rikki was getting annoyed Rabbit settles to walking beside and slightly behind him. She laughed slightly unsure "Sorry if I am annoying you I tend to do that when nervous. I have never really figured out why." She drops her head sadly.

Rikki sighed, involuntarily feeling guilty. "Don't take it personally kid, I think everyone is annoying. he grumbled. As the drew closer to the Blutwald lines he became more watchful and wary, head constantly moving as he surveyed his surroundings. "At least Blutwald's good to females." he allowed, still bitter to the normally aggressive pack.

Rabbit laughed quietly at the last comment "Sometimes they are more like stalkers than pack mates. Great guys, really....except whenever I need alone time. They can be a bit clingy." She smiled and sniffed the air "I don't smell anyone nearby though. They must not have realized I snuck off." She smiled happily and walked a bit straighter.

"Lucky me." he sighed dramatically, thankful the other wolf had finally started walking normally. "We're getting pretty close and I'd really rather not run into any of your pack mates." he tried awkwardly, hoping Rabbit would get the hint. He'd never admit it, but he had been enjoying the female's company. It wasn't very often he was able to enjoy another wolf's company without any aggression.

Rabbit smiled brightly at Rikki. "Thank you again for helping me. I understand you not wanting to meet them. But I was wondering, if I ever manage to slip the borders without a guard, if you wanna meet up again." She tilted her head and laughed " You're not as scary as you look."

Rikki stopped walking and his nose crinkled up at he eyed Rabbit. "You're right." he agreed. "I'm scarier than I look." His head cocked to the side as he regarded her. "Why would you wanna meet up with me again?" his voice was confused and incredulous.

Rabbit smiled at him. "Yeah, you're not fake like the guys in my pack. You don't worry about offending me. Everyone in the pack is so careful around females. It is weird and annoying." She got sidetracked by as bird about halfway through but didn't chase it and kept on talking. Turning back to him she tilted her head.

Rikki stared at the female for a moment in silence before sighing. "You're weird, kid." he muttered. "But if you just keep going straight you'll run right into your territory. I'm not going any close in case some of those 'guards' are looking for you." he grumbled, lip twitching in a growl. He could take on any wolf Blutwald had to offer, but that didn't mean he was enthusiastic about the prospect.

Rabbit smiled happily at him "No such thing as normal. I am going to be in so much trouble so that's probably a good idea. Thank you! Who knows where I would be to right now if you hadn't been there." She smiled and started forward.

"Probably chasing a bird somewhere." Rikki sighed heavily. "Stay safe, kid." he grumbled as he turned and began to walk back the way they had come.
