While I was drawing this dude, I actually also managed to brainstorm up an absolutely convoluted backstory that would also keep him in line with being their child so,

(Tentative) Bio: Haze is from an alternate timeline of the Forces universe where the hero (aka Buddy/Gadget) failed to reach Sonic. The Resistance is unsure whether he was truly launched in to space and subsequently killed, or is he is still trapped by Eggman and Infinite. The fate of Buddy is also unknown. Things in the Resistance and the surrounding world soon began to degenerate as hopes fell and those who considered themselves brave enough, including some of Sonic's friend group as well as startup heroes like Buddy, began to disappear. All who took it upon themselves to stand up to Eggman and Infinite, either to save Sonic or themselves, were never seen again.

Raised from within the Resistance, Haze had known stealth, caution, and dissension for most all of his life. He had never met his parents. He had only been told that they had come together during a time of great strife, and that they left him behind to keep him safe. They too embarked on another strike against Eggman, and did not return. Tired of the hand they had been dealt, Haze begun questioning if there was a way to fix his home. He heard rumors of people in the past who had jumped between timelines and even dimensions, so why couldn't he? He would do anything to save everyone from this fate...

Long he searched, and eventually he came across an artifact called the Scepter of Darkness* (we're getting into mary-sue territory now if we weren't already but hey I'm having fun. Inb4 "Sonic 06 never happened"). Something in the scepter whispered to him that it could help achieve what he desired so long as he freed them from within, and he agreed. With the bargain struck, he shattered the scepter, and was surrounded by a growing darkness, only to wake up in Sunset Heights much later.

While he had achieved his task of jumping deminsions, unbeknownst to him, he had just release a new evil(you know who ) onto his home. (Though to be fair, if he does somehow succeed with the help of the canon universes' heroes to save his universe, the tangent he's from will no longer exist, meaning what he released won't be a threat either after the fact. He might also not exist after the fact either but shhhhh. Trying to work with timelines like this is both fun and frustrating. lol)

Weapon: Haze uses an augmented cube wispon that he upgraded himself. The wispon makes cubes in the normal way upon being slammed on the ground, but the cubes also emmit a gust of wind upon being broken. This ability can be used to his advantage to either launch enemies away/off edges, or propel himself higher upward.

Phew. That was fun. I get if its overdone or dumb, but hey. Its...something. No rude comments please. <:3
