Description This is a submission for 's contest.  It's not completely finished but the deadline is coming up.

So I chose Crobat, Espeon, Tentacruel, Pinsir, and Magnemite.  My reasons for liking them are simple.  Crobat was on my first ever team and has an awesome design.  Espeon has been one of my favorites due to just how strong it's special attack is.  Pinsir was a beast when used in the Johto Pokeathon Dome. Also, bug types need more love.  And Tentacruel just looks awesome.

I was attempting to make a scene where the trainer, and therefore his poke balls, was lost at sea during a storm, leaving his pokemon in a fight for survival.  The team has just passed the worst of the storm.

Totally used 's stormy sea tutorial for the waves.

Thanks a lot for participating in my contest and congratulation for being the second winner!

First off, he drawing is really great, and out of all the contestants you put the most work in your background. The idea is very intersting. All the pokemon are really well drawn and shaded.
The description is also very intriguing. And Tentacruel is definately a beast, it is one of my favourite water types.

One word of advice though, if I may: There's just a bit too much of background and things going on in the drawing, espacially with the lightning bolts. While it is extremely refreshing to see someone put so much work into his background, had you left out some of the lightning it would've been even better. But that's just a minor point.

Your contest served as a great challenge and motivational tool for me, so when it came up, of course I had to enter.  It's nice to hear that Tentacruel is also a personal favorite of yours. Thanks so much for the praise and the critique.  I completely understand where you're coming from with the background.  I'll keep your advice in mind when making my next piece (and when I possibly finish and refine this one).
