I really wonder if you could take a picture of him actually standing in water. Do you have a tiny stream nearby? I think it would be gorgeous @_@

haha! I did consider it. I almost moved to a house with its own stream but unfortunately all I have here are stagnant puddles when it rains. Maybe I'll take him somewhere though! Lord knows if there's one thing east tennessee has it's streams.

Beautiful! I don't think I've seen too many sculptures like this that I like attached to bases, But this is awesome, I love your style.

Oh dear god! That's absolutely breathtaking! The pose is wonderful and the head and face are so fantastically realistic (such beautiful kind eyes...*sigh*) I am in awe of the clear 'splash' effect base...it looks like a real splash of water frozen in time.
I'm sure you'll get an amazing price on ebay. You really deserve it! I wish I had the money to bid
Loved the tutorial too...very interesting! Kinda random but I noticed your finished sculpt is beautifully smooth...do you have an tips for getting clay to a smooth finish like you have? It's one thing i'd like to improve... ahem, bad me! I've turned a comment into picking your brain, woopsie.

Getting a smooth finish really depends on the material you're using, I think it's easiest in Plasteline, where it's sorta smooth anyway and heat and mineral spirits with a paintbrush will smooth it. With polymer clay I usually bake it, then just go over the whole thing with several grades of sandpaper

Beautiful! Loooove the concept. Can the clear base have color incorperated in it? =o

I don't see why not, it would just be a matter of mixing in pigment to the clear resin

haha, and here I've been sitting around thinking for majestic unicorn names when I could just use regular old names and change up the spelling.
