Description
I said I would do it, and here he is
Jan (Aljan) from the Firebringer Trilogy. He's about 7/8" at the horn. (you can see him in size comparison with Tofu and Calydor in my scraps folder)
Same as usual, 12 gauge steel armature, sculpey Firm, acrylic with enamel gloss, viscose hair.
Methinks he needs a family

Have you ever read The Black Unicorn by Terry Brooks? He reminds me a bit of that unicorn.

His (her?) face was what drew me in. The eye is just REALLY striking.

Tek will be interesting to paint. Personally I reckon Dagg will be quite tricky becauseof the dapples: normally I cheat and use watercolour and salt to get the dapples to look nice, though there have to be more methods

I think dagg will actually be pretty fun to paint, I find bigger areas like large spots harder, because you have to get them to look natural, not just like big black blobs. Like, paint the little furs around the spot.

I love doing paint horses though, it's just making the black not look flat that can be tricky.

Aljan Moonbrow, the Firebringer. Gorgeous as always. Hmmm, but I always thought it was his left rear leg that had the wyvern scar. It's tiny, I know, and I could have just interpreted it wrong.
At any rate, yeah, he does look a little lonely. Tek and the twins would be perfect, if you don't mind my input.

I'm actually sculpting the twins at the moment
I may be wrong about the location of the scar, IIRC I guessed which leg it was. I was sure it was on the inside of the leg though, maybe that's why I did it on that leg, so it would show on his display-side.
