Walkiria opened the door to the penthouse she shared with her wife, the Soviet Superwoman. A glance at the digital clock on the wall told her it was well past 3 am. The smell of a hot pizza still lingered in the air, but truth be told she was far too tired for anything to eat. An all-night battle with the Venucci crime family had taken it's toll and she hoped Olga would be understanding and not jump her case for missing dinner.

Walking into the living room she was greeting with the sight of her muscular wife completely passed out on the couch. She was still more or less in her costume, with only her cowl, gauntlets and boots removed. A can of unopened Sprite lay under her outstretched hand as it dangled from the side of the makeshift bed. The delicious smelling pizza was on the floor several inches away. Maia crept over as quietly as she could. Olga didn't stir at all. A night of dealing with international arms dealers had done what they failed to do and knocked her out. Maia smiled down at her Russian bride and quietly slid in next to her on the couch.

The pure comfort of being next to the one she loved, coupled with her own weariness lulled her immediately to sleep.
