Mew: Yep!
Celebi: And you did that only to score that pink dude with the copying powers?
Mew: But he's soooo cute!
Celebi: ... our world already got ball-like males if you're really into that.
Mew: But they can't keep up with my milk drinking or use awesome elemental powers!
And on that day, while everyone went 'aaaaaaw!' over the sight of the adorable divine kitten hugging a ball-like Alex Mercer, Celebi facepalmed and wondered for the 105054th time why Mew can't just stick to having Mewtwo as an exclusive mate and feels the need to score with every single individual she meets.

I'm always amazed at how many people do, without irony, 'evil Dark-Type bully Mew and she is then saved by her TWUE WUVE' storylines considering that Mew is an immortal embodiment of Light and Love which means that not only she can pop the head of any two-bits Dark-Type by looking at it funny but she would be absolutely uninterested in any two-bits wannabe self-righteous 'hero' guy (especially given that such characters, considering the people who create this character type, tend to portray Mew as 'INNOCENT CHILD WHO CRIES AT THE SIGHT OF BLOOD' rather than the playful kitty she is).
Kirby *is* a crack pairing. But then, it's better than the pairings stated above. At least, Kirby would probably enjoy Mew's mischeveous antics.

I completely agree. It's kind of sad how people tend to use that idea as a cheap story plot, and overall, I wish people would think of something better and more worthwhile if any legendary is involved.
This picture wasn't made to illustrate a devoted Mew shipping, but instead just two characters who I find somewhat match in personality and attributes.
