Is it really so wrong for "sparkledogs" to exist? XDI won't lie; the BluWolf *pokes avatar* is a sparkledog of sorts. She's blue. Bright blue, at that. And when the holidays come around, she wears a Santa hat
Even the super-stylized, legging-wearing, iPod-toting, wing... having, and human-like-hair-growing sparkledogs aren't too bad, really. As with any style or fad, you can make a great sparkledog or you can go overboard.
The same goes for Mary-Sues and other cliches; if done well, it can be pretty nice
As for furry humans with animal heads and hands... plus tattoos and clothing... they're also fictitious creatures with unnatural traits and a kind of anthropomorphic animal. They may look different from sparkledogs, but they're in the same category. Personally, I have nothing against either. Yay for anthro animals!
Can we all be friends, now?

If everyone would draw wolves or dogs with real colours and markings, you would think one artist stole a character from another artist or something like that. -.-

Most of my characters are actually colored fairly realistically (and some are a bit tough to tell apart XD), but I can't help but feel that fun, silly colors are far more expressive. Yay for sparkledogs!

Sparkledogs are super-shiny-colored canine characters with strange designs. They often have an unnecessary number of accessories, way-off anatomy, and don't act at all like the real animal, so they are typically looked down upon by the art society...
