In all honesty I would expect people to be scared of Pyro. I mean back in the day when the Flame Thrower was first used in war it had a massive mental and physical effect on soldier's. Even to this day it still tends to leave behind Shell Shock or P.T.S.D.
So it makes since that the Pyro leaves behind a since of dread and dead air around it's presence. Sure it's flashy and looks nice, but in all reality (look at Meet the Pyro for more here) it's a monster that is killing in one of the most inhumane ways possible..I won't lie I am a Pyromaniac. Not the term used for people how like TF2's Pyro but the medical term.
I have seen this weapon and to be honest I love it, nothing quite gives you that rush of feeling the heat and watching something burn down. Of course I know I have a problem but that's something I have under control...for the most part.
Regressing my point is this: Next time you run into a Pyro, don't just think "Pfft Pyro's." Think. "That thing, it's inhumane."

Indeed. I main pyro and every time I fight my teams Demo/Soldier they always say "I never want to see you in a fight." Normally they don't because I am already behind them. Backburner/Golden Flame Thrower hurts.
