Recently I've got a really nice inspiration push as I had a talk with a friend of mine about how cool Prometheus movie could be and why does it suck. As a resault, here is the picture.I'm not really sure what's going on, but it seems like a girl, who is a pilot in Weyland-Yutani, is being hunted down by few Predators. Now two of them are about to finish her in some kind of sacrificial place inside the Space Jockey's structure, while the rest of the kin are keeping incoming Xenomorphs on a distance.
The idea was to make the situation look really scary and hopeless.

Qwesome pic. I love the lighting (though I'm not sure what the source is) and all the smaller detailed you've got peppered throughout. My only beef is you've got a multitude of colors and not enough contrast. Neither are bad, but only if used right--I would play with the background and make it a little less important while drawing more attention to the girl and her "Ohshit" expression and the two Preds hanging around her.
My eye first jumps to the injured pred and then the psychic line leads me down to the girl, but from there it's more of a jumble because the background competes to absorb the injured Predator again while she fades into the ground like a chameleon almost. Notice in your comparison link how bright the girl and the ground she's laying on is, then how we move to the Preds surrounding her, and then to the background. This draws us to her because she's the brightest thing in the picture. Alternatively, making her the darkest thing could work. It's how she compares to the rest of the pic that helps draw our eye.
I do like how roughed up she looks--makes me think she's crawling through dirt and blood which adds to the impending doom of the pic. Possibly dulling the bright colors and drawing attention to how dirty she is could help.

Sorry for comment jacking but that old guy in AVP was left alone until he tried to attack one of the Predators. Given Shaw's stupid enough to yell at an Engineer, I wouldn't doubt her trying and failing to get the jump on a Predator when they turned their backs.

Amazing, you can really feel the fear that marine feels. the detail with the blood is awesome. I must ask, where did you get that predator model from? ^^
