Orange - Healing
Auir never feels like he's doing his best and that he's a waste of space, and his past always reminds him of it. He was captured during Vort's fall against the Irkens and was placed in a military prison. He was only about 9 at the time, and he didn't know how to create weapons. Because of his "uselessness", the Irkens usually either emotionally (sometimes physically) tortured him or left him alone in his cell for days or weeks. Being in prison, every prisoner was branded a number across their arm. Auir's number tortures him to this day, and he's continually trying to hide it from himself and everyone by tattooing it (but it's still pretty visible). When that didn't feel like it was enough, he continued until his entire arm was eventually covered. Terrance knows all this, since he was the one that helped him escape the prison, and always comforts Auir and helps him work through the emotions. He constantly tells Auir how amazing it is that he's come this far, and that his tattoos are incredibly beautiful, hence why he decided to get one for himself (he hopes to get a matching sleeve like Auir's). Auir's slowly learning to accept this and to love himself, but he really wouldn't be here without Terr.

For dA Pride Month Flag~ This is such an amazing event and I'm ecstatic to be a part of it!
Looks like I went to the "School of Steven Universe" to draw tears like that. :'D But to be honest, I'm pretty proud of this. It's something I've never really done before (especially working with color palettes), and it'll be something new in my gallery finally. And it looks like my style is improving more, which is awesooome. I hope I can make more pieces like this in the future. ^^
