Look at these two flustered dorks.

It had been a good month since Hopper came into Pidge and Lemons lives. The day after they had met, they learned Hopper adopted a son who calls himself Succulent. The kid speaking in third person had annoyed Lemon at first, but they shared some of the same interests so he got used to it pretty quick.

Which is what led them to where they are now, Lemon and Succulent were playing with Rolo. The Ferble letting the two boys climb all over her and pretend she's a mighty steed. Hopper and Pidge were sitting on the couch, talking about whatever came to mind really.

It had been undeniable that the two had grown closer, literally judging by how close they were sitting. Just a matter of time before one of them cracks and admits it. Not that Lemon really minded anymore.

Hopper was a nice guy once you really got to know him. He had openly accepted Pidge when they admitted they didn't really like being called 'she' or 'female' sometimes, and had even agreed to use they/them unless specifically told otherwise. The rabbit Aurillion even offered to help with the start-up of Pidges repair business, after seeing what a good job she did on a guitar anyway.

He played some nice songs on 'old Bessie' too! Often making a few coin by playing at parties or in town. They had formed a small 'family' albeit it wasn't complete or acknowledged yet until one or the other admits they like each other, but Lemon wasn't going to complain just yet.

"I win!" Lemon stood triumphantly on Rolo's head, the Ferble acting as his noble throne. Succulent draped half over her back as he continued an attempt to scramble up.

"No fair! Succulent is smaller, it's harder for him to climb the mighty steed!" He wasn't wrong in all honesty, the smaller Auri was quite a bit younger than him and rather small for his age too. Sliding down the Ferbles neck, Lemon offered a paw out to the other and heaved him fully onto Rolo's back.

"On wards! To victory!" He commanded with, in his mind at least, a bellowing voice. Though it must've been ineffective, as Rolo huffed and flopped into a loaf position. It was then that Pidge doted on them.

"Would you guys leave poor Rolo alone? You've been using her as a jungle gym all day! Why don't you go outside and play with that Squebble you think you've been hiding from me"

"You know about Twinkle?"

"I've known for awhile now, Lemon, and before you ask, no we cannot actually keep him." Lemon pouted, getting ready to do the puppy dog eyes again, when Pidge covered their eyes. "Nope! Not falling for that again! Go on and play with it before we take him up to Liam's"

Succulent had been looking back and forth between Pidge and Lemon during this conversation, then shifted his gaze to Hopper. Who seemed to know what the Auri was gonna ask.

"I'll think about it kiddo, now go play" Satisfied with his papa's answer for the time being, Succulent and Lemon challenged each other to see who can get outside first. Both ending up tripping over each other on the way out.

Pidge leaned back against the cushions with a sigh. Fiddling with their tail awkwardly, not really realizing that by telling the two Auri to go play outside, it left them alone with Hopper. Pidge had never really been the type to crush on anyone, being to focused on messing with the insides of any machine they could get their mitts on to really pay attention to others besides Lemon.

They hardly knew Hopper, but had learned so much at the same time just within the month. It stayed silent for awhile, Hopper attempting to find interest in anything but Pidge. Pidge them self preoccupied with playing with their tail. It felt like hours before either one of them spoke.

"So...uhm, Pidge uh..." Pidge's eyes darted over towards Hopper, who was scratching the back of his head. "I've been meaning to ask- if uh- may-" Suddenly he was interrupted by Succulent, rushing in with tear filled eyes. Lemon hot on his tail.

As the situation was explained, Hopper carefully picked up the small Auri. "Guess that is my cue to take him home huh?" Succulent whined into his shoulder, his crying narrowed down to just hiccups now.

"I guess so..." Pidge rubbed her arm, looking down at her feet in a slight disappointment. Hopper, however, leaned forward and gave her forhead a small peck before heading out. Leaving a very flustered Pidgeon and a rather disgusted Lemon.

"I'll bring him by tomorrow, maybe he will have calmed down by then" Hopper gave Succulent a few paps to his back as he left. Twinkle, the Squebble following, clearly worried for the small Auri.

"That was disgusting"
"Lemon!"
