these cheeky buggers are one of if not the most intellegent birds in the world. they are NZ's mountain parrot and they can strip the rubber from your car in a matter of minutes....wippers, window seals, the lot!!but they have beautiful colours. bright orangey red under their wings and some blue on their backs.

i did actually hear of that through someone the other day. some silly people around.
the old kea's get a pretty bad rap sometimes, the farmers used to lay waste to a fair few of them for scoffin their sheep. they learned where the sheep were fatty, around their kidneys, and they used to sit on the sheeps back and chew through while the sheep couldn't do much about it.
the intellegence of these birds is pretty unbelievable though.
i looked at my car the other day and in the few min's the buggers were on the roof, they had begun to tear away 3 of my window seals...
