Prom task for the 10th round of OC-training . The Council of Non-Amusement is very relieved to hear that this weird campaign has come to an end, and they can go back to their duties and being stressed over actual significant matters full time. Soundtrack: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qz9I0W… because they're the law and you can't beat the lawHad a blast this round, everyone! Inau did not. Neither is he content with the outcomes (he got stripped off his scarce privacy, his government's highly classified information leaked, his tiny secret affair leaked, and he still hasn't found his missing citizens). But I moved on with a large chunk of the story (and I got all the spoilers about Va, exactly as planned
), so selfishly I'm very happy.Also it might be the first round that I've done not only all the tasks but also all of them on time, being only a day late with the Critique.
Suppose that's Inau's irresistible aura of urgency.Trivia:
- Jovian's aesthetics kinda reminds me of David Bowie; after hanging out with Lena he also adapted her idea of original makeup into his array of disguises, and this is the result
- Lena just heard they're playing Monsta X so she's dragging Jov to the dancefloor
- I'm not sure whether dancing is a sin in Memphis' personal moral code, so they're just rhythmically traversing back and forth across the dancefloor
- for some reason I can easily imagine Host can do all the non-human dance moves
- Courtney and Mae might have found solace in company of another proactive church goer amongst so many weird people (Courtney is probably endlessly comparing herself to Mae)
- Kiro is plotting to pick up Lena, but first he needs to get Jovian's attention elsewhere... perhaps someone will attempt breaking into Lady later that evening
- Coogan is listening to Kiro's bragging because he's nice like that, but his inner therapist royal advisor is activating at the sight of the saddest table of the party

I love the group in the front so much, oh my god. Maybe now they can relax... Oh wait, no, they have to go back to their regular lives. Relaxation shmelaxation. Maybe Coogan can get away to help, but then again, that might be a bit much for him.
I can see Mae and Courtney getting along, but you are absolutely correct in that Courtney would be mentally comparing herself. Thankfully it is a short event, too short for any sort of competition to happen.

Ah! You included the Council of Non-Amusement in the Prom Event!
Inau looks exhausted, he's probably aghast at the cost of this prom, while Va is relieved the campaign is over, she still probably resents being dragged into the party, and finally, Kai's shares Inau's exhausted astonishment on how MUCH this party cost.
Loving Inau's facepalm of resignation, Va's murder-glare as she sips on wine, and Kai's dead and eerie stare of "I can't even-"!
Yes, this council survived the round and its daunting challenges- even enjoyment and revealing their vulnerabilities, as well as personal information.
Totally seconding everything MegaMaeve said- every time the council shows up, it's hilarious- their contrast of seriousness against an enjoyable event or assignments, they're not pleased at all with all this frivolous merriment.
And yes, let's hope none of the info on their hearts and souls reaches their respective dimension- Kai definitely will be frantic if anyone senses he's an actual softie, he'll be grumpier than ever.
Jovian looks absolutely boss here- channel your inner Bowie/Ziggy Stardust, Jovian! And Lena's fashion complements his look, she looks so chic, dignified and stylish!
Absolutely love Va and Kai in your style, as well as the rest of the characters featured here! And you did so many, too! Love how Memphis is boogeying in the background, while Mae and Courney share an engaging conversation. Absolutely love Kiro and Coogan here- gotta love Coogan- he definitely looks concerned from the gloomy, saturnine trio slumped at the table.
Ah, fret not, Council- you all can chaperone the rest of the party, lest some catastrophe hit the scene.

I couldn't not include them! That was my plan since the start 
Both of Inau's allies were a delight to follow and to observe their stories unravel. I'm pretty sure that he found solace in Kai's company, the one ultimate guy to know what it's like to keep your heart hidden away from the public. I'm sure that forging this friendship is the one ultimate thing he does not regret about his participation in OCT.
I kind of wish we would have some extra small RP over the round, but things got busy and I didn't manage to reply to you in time
They were truly a blast to draw, I decided to settle on a less uptight and more comic vibe, since that makes it all the more absurd in their seriousness and self-inflicted drama.

It would have been fantastic if the three of us could have held a RP during this round- it would have been quite interesting to see what sort of events the council would find themselves in! And see how their personalities and different approaches of conduct would have interacted!
Definitely understand about the nature of RP- it can be difficult to keep up with threads. I used to role play extensively on here and on Tumblr, but since then, most friends have moved on, and I really haven't found anyone to match with my characters and their genre.
Always let inspiration strike you, Beata- you create some of the most brilliant pieces and concepts here! 
This round was definitely a blast, for sure, despite disasters and drama our characters found themselves in.

ANYHOW - no matter how many times I gaze upon the Council, I keep on cracking up.
