Unlike me (or what I've been told by some professionals and friends), your pencils AND your inks are BOTH impeccable! Awesome
People tend to prefer my pencils - &%$#@!

Thanks for sharing your process. I get a feeling of suffocation when seeing spider-man surroundedΒ by venom's liquid body.

thanks for the respond. how much time do you usually have to submit your
cover-artwork to marvel? dunno if thats secret-stuff, no problem if you won't
answer. i am just curious in all that cover-artist stuff.
love your work, dude - seriously amazing routine and unique style there.
thanks for sharing

thank you for digging the work!
as for Marvel covers, deadlines are usually set up for every step and timelines vary.Β my current one is due monday, but the editors just asked if i could have it tomorrow - so even at the highest levels shit is constantly shifting.Β i am usually given a good week or two to turn around a cover - luckily i'm in a position people want my work and are willing to wait for it.Β the strictness of my deadlines are usually dependent on the gig and employer and print date.

you're welcome, thanks for the fast respond.. and
sorry for the delayed answer.
glad to read, that marvel (and probably other big ones
too) handle it like that... thanks for the insight , really
appreciate it! maybe one day, i'll find myself
in that two weeks timeline too.
ps: saw your venom cover a few days ago in the newest
preview catalogue, i like the b&w version you posted here
more, but still -
it's so cool to talk about the art with its creator, love
that thing about deviantart.

Aw man... this is so awesome! Your pencils are sick! And love seeing the full Spidey pose before getting covered up by Venom. Any reason for the flip from Thumbnail to Rough?

i prefer directional designs to push right heavy if possible in my covers. Β In the western world we read from left to right, so this should be incorporated in the designs of all commercial art, i feel.Β
