Although Julia Roberts was consulted on the project. With the addition of a time traveling chair and a talking pie the deal was struck and the project went ahead. The talking pie is featured in the feast scene back in the village. Although it doesn't talk in the scene it CAN talk-this was enough to keep Mrs Roberts sweet.
