Description
In the beginning of 2009 I came up with the idea to create a birthyday calendar with my baby character. I didn't get to it till nearly 3-quarters of a year later, but there you have it.

The idea was to draw and ink 12 pictures (manually), colour the figure in Photoshop and do the backgrounds with watercolour paint.

For this month I felt like doing another typical Dutch thing, that of bulb flowers, I do love tullips and daffodils. I'm not sure you're supposed to dig them up so soon, but what the heck, it makes a nice picture.

I had quite a bit of trouble with the background with this one. I kept trying to do the flowers in the far back with paint and it didn't work. In the end I choose one watercolour painting for the stones and a completely green painting for the rest, creating the flowers by computer.
