Really large, I'm not kidding. It's about the size of a volley ball I reckon (I think, I'm not a sports person). I made it as an ornament for my parent's garden. Because of that and its size I didn't use a styrofoam ball for the inside this time but a (hollow) stainless steel one. This would be much sturdier (and not shrink during baking) meaning I didn't have to use a thick layer of clay (in fact I put all the feathers through the pasta machine). Plus the clay stuck much better to the steel and it didn't react to the material (as it does with styrofoam if you wait too long with the baking), so I could take my time creating this owl (which was needed, I ran out of the magenta and burdgundy half way).
