As long as I can come up with these names, I'll continue to create these drawings
In reality, the idea came before the name, but the name came to me within minutes after the idea. And the idea was, a drawing as full as Giddy Gecko but better thought out. I wanted a peacock with both open and closed tail, sitting on a branch, flowers (from a garden) beneath it and a moon (or sun what have you) with clouds behind it. Oh, and butterflies.
I think I pulled it off
To keep in line with the other drawings of this series I did a duotone coloured version [link] , as I can adapt these to create any colour combination I want (handy for printing), but from the start I had the idea in my head to colour it with the many colours you would have had in real life. So, blues and greens for the peacock, brown for the branch, a blue/violet nightsky, etc. I'm not sure I like it better or less than the duo-tone, but it's certainly different

Gorgeous! It's odd how sometimes the name comes before the actual drawing, isn't it? That happens to me a lot. And the ones that come before the name I have a very hard time thinking of one.

I think the multicolors works great for this picture, I guess because a peacock has many colors on it's own already!

Well the main shape, that of the peacock and such, and the gecko, fish and lady before that, that popped in my head while thinking about what I wanted to draw. The details I fill in as I go along. I just let the main shape guide me, I follow the lines or go against them, see we happens. So the end result isn't fixed and kinda surprises me too
