Description I.
Near the broken city
are pieces of broken glass.
Near the broken glass,
  are pieces of broken cities.

It all moves like this —
something once forgotten, and then remembered, little pieces of
   shattered photographs.

II.

The way whole cities become streaks of
light, the
way the world looks when
you open your eyes in the morning.

fog that falls upon the brow
of some glance left unexplained.
like a mark flung across a
plane of sand or a
memory, rapidly
receding.

III.
I could be a line. You could be the verse. We could both be summer grass. I could be a winter day. You could be a song. We could be little clouds, empty picture frames, 1028 emails, all this dialogue, an infinite
amount of history.

IV.
Cities become broken shards of glass. Little shards of glass. Cities become
little fractured photographs. Little fractured photographs. A face. A name. Little fractured photographs. You were there when I first
found a name. A face. a name. Little fractured photographs. You where there as
skies faded away. Little fractured photographs. Little fractured
pieces of
skyline, of...

Rain falls. Broken shards of buildings in the
fog. Rain falls. Broken
shards of you in the
rain.

I love the way that even if these four don't fit together, they are connected, as if each part from each part is talking about the same scene through different eyes. This comment goes for all of them...

And I like the glass/cities juxtaposition here, love all the urbanity of it, the decayed urbanity.

Ah, I love it. It's so resistant and rhythmic and real. I especially love the first stanza, it sets the tone and rhythm wonderfully.
Phenomenal.
