The god of gross! (Plagues, Pestilence, Sickness, Death, Destruction; all that fun stuff)

A few weeks ago, I decided I wanted to draw the Chaos gods of the Warhammer Universe as "bishies" (which if I'm being honest I keep just saying "anime characters" because he doesn't look bishie enough for my taste. Nonetheless. . .). I finally finished up Nurgle, the eldest of the chaos gods. So how do you personify a god of plagues? Well according to my brain: Pale, kind of gaunt, bandages, half-rotting face, greasy-looking hair, green eyes, haze, and a sweater vest. I'm sure every plant in his greenhouse/garden can give you some sort of infectious disease. While trying to make him look more human I still kept stuff like horns and pointed ears to help denote his inhuman nature.

Lot's of time went into the darn background and I'm still not satisfied with the composition of the piece; but I will say that his overall design has been approved, as some of my friends and family have successfully managed to guess he's a plague god without knowing much about Warhammer at all. SUCCESS!
