This was drawn after Hinata made her debut in the anime, which explains why she looks slightly different from the first comic. And, for reasons unknown, I worked on this without references. What was I thinking?

The baby. If you haven't guessed by now, I made Asuma and Kurenai's kid a boy. No name though. I was considering just making one up, but I thought it best to wait until Kishimoto comes up with it (if he ever covers it).

I'm obscenely proud of the fourth panel. God, they look good together. I'm thinking of turning that one panel into a ShikaHina banner--just needs to be colored and stuff. I'll tell you a secret: I love drawing profiles, specifically noses. It just totally MAKES the face. Anyways, after I saw how the animators drew Hinata, I had to get a good close-up of her in this. Her eyes were GORGEOUS in the episode (33 was it?), heavy-lidded doe eyes with EYELASHES FINALLY. I tried to do that in the fourth panel. LOL, she's got the sexiest bedroom eyes out of everyone in the series, but not the sense to use them!

Also, has anyone noticed how they drew her face shape? Maybe it's just me, but Hinata's face shape in the anime looks quite similar to the people in traditional Edo period Japanese paintings: oval-shaped face, cheeks curved in relatively low on the face, straight nose. Although Hinata looks the most inspired by traditional Japanese art (as befits the Heiress of the most powerful clan in Konoha), there are others who share the same qualities (albeit not as pronounced as her): Neji, Shikamaru, Kiba, Sasuke, and Itachi (the last two I'm judging by their side-by-side shot in the opening credits) all have those traditional-looking features. Funnily enough, they all come from recognized clans. Non-clan folks like Sakura, Tenten, Lee, and a few others all have more Western features. And Naruto seems to go back and forth between traditional and Western. Bah, I'm probably the only one who finds all this interesting.
