Description
Ahoy, ye land lubbers!
I've been working on a James Kidd cosplay for Katsucon (who hasn't, eh?) and just wanted to show you the progress I've done.
Due to work and veterinary school interviews sucking up all my free time, all I've had time to do was make the wig look somewhat decent and to do a quick makeup test (and by quick, I mean smearing my eyeliner off and making my brows thick).
Please not that I'm aware the scar is on the wrong side, I did this at about 2 A.M. and inadvertently reflected it through the mirror.
This is also, by no means, the final makeup/wig/sash look.
Just thought I'd show you a quick heads up while I'm in the process of buying the super expensive fabric for Kidd and slowly making Kidd's cosplay. I'm sure I'll be one of many at Katsucon, but Kidd's just a special kind of chap.
I'll be adding beading and some other doo-dads to the wig - Being a tom-boy for 10 years pre-girlishness made me realize that I don't know how to fucking braid. At all. Oops.
Also enjoy the crappy photos taken from my phone. They don't do any quality.
Oh, and the head sash? This is just a prototype - it was actually the red waist sash from my first Assassin's Creed costume in my gallery. I'll be making a real sash out of better fabric.
Comments greatly appreciated!

My hair refused to cooperate for being james. So I used a wig I had.

Well, don't put it on the wrong side, like I did, haha.
Otherwise, I draw slightly farther than where I want the scar in a darker color, then use my light cream color to draw over it so it looks three dimensional. Then I use white-hair cream used for old-age makeups to dab over my brow, and then use skin-toned cream to blend it in.

Due to your awesomeness you've inspired me to cosplay kidd as well... so as long as it's not some sort of classified cosplay information I really wonder where you got that wig from because it's pretty neat? ;v;

Omg yaaaaayyy! And as for the wig, it's a "Flippy and Flirty" wig from Party City. I cut and styled it myself.
