Awesome shot. Perfectly composed and wonderful colours. A bit dark maybe (could also be my screen) but then this also makes it a bit mysterious.

Thanx babe, I actually got to experiment with the D70 quite a bit yesterday.
Tash is so wonderfully patient, and can hold a pose forever, while I find the right settings to use

I have to do the same really. I've got to a creatively stagnant phase and I want to photograph people and more. I need models but most look horrified when you ask.
The new toy:
I took hundreds of shot with the damn thing and couldn't get a decent one until I realised the lens was faulty and it's only 9 months old. The barrel is worn so it won't focus properly so I've sent it back to the manufacturer.
Now I have a good lens on it and it's bloody awesome with incredible detail at full res.. I've posted a few shots with it and the colour depth is astounding.

Most models will be happy to work for tfp/cd, as they want the experience for their portfolios, as much as you want the experience.

I think my problem is I don't like to ask and I don't really know where to start with a model and a photo session.
I guess I need to think more about what I want to photograph.
The lens was a bummer because it was a fantastic piece of kit. Hopefully they will repair it OK and if not then it's off to see my mate at the camera emporium.
