Its Captain Sajin Komamura from Bleach. In the latest chapter, he went through a short but crazy process to become stronger and immortal so he can take on the latest threat to Soul Society. I thought since your an anime fan that you would like manga too and you would like Bleach. Since the anime ended in Japan, I thought you would be reading the manga chapters. Am I wrong?

I saw bleach didn't really like it to much so I didn't carry on with the manga
