About This Photo:
Not quite a stringbean but we certainly called it such in the beginning before researching. Along much of the river inlets were mangroves, a Florida specialty and a very important part of the environment. Red mangroves sprout these long cigar looking seed pods, which can take anchor in the ground once deposited. Ironically, you can even consume these through cooking and herbs, though I wouldn't recommend it.
