Rigel is a carefree Giant who flunked out of highschool due to romance drama... Everyone wanted to get with Rigel because Giant Jirachi are attractive to smaller Jirachi, but Rigel never hit it off with any of them and just hangs around in space with the Meteor Jirachi colony and lives a carefree lifestyle like they do.
Rigel's life changed when Twink and Crash came into it, and soon Rigel's carefree life got interrupted by two rowdy kids...

there's not much different about giants compared to the standard yellow, except that they're more powerful, have bigger emotions (which manifests in different ways), they live a little shorter, and they're generally considered very attractive to smaller jirachi.
