A little something extra -

It was early, it was hot, and the group were all dragging their feet to the training grounds; trailing a somewhat-too-energized Kakashi, which only added to their state of miserable.

In hopes of distracting himself from the sleep that slowly crept over him, Naruto spliced together an endless dialogue of continual sentences. “Kakashi- sensei, why are we up so early? I don’t understand! You tell us one time and you don’t even show up then anyway! When’s lunch because I woke up so late I didn’t have time for breakfast –“ Sasuke rolled his eyes at the complete idiocy as the rumble of his comrades stomach gave cause for a slight pause in the blonde’s never-ending rambling.

“Sasuke, you didn’t bring any snacks with you, did ya?” Naruto asked leaning too close for the raven’s comfort.

“No.” was his only reply.

“OH! Come on! You always have something!! Ill buy you ramen later! PLEASE!”

Sasuke winced at the pleading; Naruto’s voice along with the increasing glare of the sun was bringing on the beginnings of what he knew would be an unbearable headache!

“I hate ramen! Besides why would I give you my food?” Sasuke retorted.

“But, Sasuke, I’m starving! You don’t need it! And how am I suppose to train if all I can think about is food?!”

Sasuke shrugged. “Easier for me I guess. I kill two birds with one stone, not only will I enjoy watching you roll around like a starving idiot, but it’ll just be that much more easier to beat you!”

“NEVER Teme! I don’t care if I haven’t eaten for weeks! Ill still kick you ass! Believe it!!” Naruto had gotten closer than Sasuke’s patience would allow and he turned to him with a stern glare.

“Would you shut up already!?” But neither his look nor harsh words put a dent in the knuckleheads gloating.

“NO! You know I’m sick of your attitude buddy! Why don’t we just go right now!? Or are you scared? – “ Sasuke rubbed his head, not sure how much more he could take. With a contemplative look to himself, he racked his brain as to what he could possibly do to shut the dobe up long enough to make it to the training grounds without killing him.

-Bingo.-

“Teme!!!!” Naruto raised his fist to initiate the fight, willing to take the food by force if he had to!

Sasuke turned and grabbed the collar of his unnecessarily bright orange jacket and pulled him forward off his feet, forcing him to stumble for his balance.

“I said, shut-up dobe!” With that Sasuke pulled him the full distance and covered his dumbfounded lips with his own. Black orbs glared forcibly down into confused blue sapphires. Once Naruto’s body had locked up, either in complete confusion or utter shock, Sasuke roughly let go of him.

Naruto stared, motionless back at Sasuke as he slowly turned around. With a silent and secure smile to himself he finally took note of how positively and beautifully quiet it was.
