(theres some spoilers in the desciption so watch out for that)
So, i've been talking about the Beano annual 2024 for the past couple of days since I bought it (crazy!!) and I thought i'd draw a old Beano character, Ivy the Terrible! But with a little twist. In the annual, there was a story where the kids are setting up the 85th anniversary party and Minnie (and I think Wilf) were finding special guests...the old Beano characters! One of them was Ivy the Terrible and she's grown up, but she became an sensible person (oh no D. Don't worry though, she unleashed her terror in the end! That gave me an idea to draw the grown up Ivy holding her younger self

This artwork is also the last time I used my black colouring pencil because the lead keeps breaking (never throw pencils if mad about it) and eventually, I got to the end of that pencil and now it's dead! But the other colours survived so it's okay. :') Anyways, the colouring is a bit of a pain, like usual (thats why that part's weirdly my least favourite but I love adding colour). I also decided to use my correction pen for highlights! (i don't have a white pen) Then I added some stars for the background and added writing to it.

Honestly, I got to read some old Beano stuff back at school and to be fair, Ivy the Terrible is a really interesting character, especially as its a toddler who causes chaos! But really, she is quite an adorable troublemaker (don't tell Ivy I said that incase she hates compliments). I am quite glad some old Beano characters made it into the 85th anniversary story(even if they're grown ups now) and Ivy was one of them <3
